Michael Benjamin is an actor, writer, and comedian based in Los Angeles known for grounded, character driven comedy and emotionally specific performances. Raised in San Diego, he earned a degree in Film from San Diego State University before moving to Chicago, where he developed his voice as a performer and writer within the city’s comedy scene.

He trained in acting, stand up comedy, and writing at The Second City, and also studied and performed at The Annoyance Theatre and iO. Michael has written and performed in numerous sketch reviews and live shows in Chicago and Los Angeles, and can regularly be seen performing comedy around Los Angeles.

Alongside his stage work, Michael has built a substantial following through original online comedy across TikTok and Instagram. His work has earned over 16 million likes on TikTok alone from more than 110 thousand followers, however his digital comedy roots began on Vine where he had over 350 thousand followers.

Recently, Michael wrote and starred in The Paranormal Communicator, a short film selected as a Vimeo Official Staff Pick and featured at Outfest, NewFest, and multiple other film festivals.
